mike-barker.com is hand coded using CSSEdit and TextMate for Mac... sure there's Dreamweaver, but where's the fun. Recently the entire site was re-written to clear away unnecessary outdated code. A new grid was implemented using Blueprint in CSS and several new javascripts have been added to process various feeds as well as adding new functionality.
This website is chalk full of web 2.0 goodness, utilizing Javascript, Ruby on the Rails, CSS, RSS, MooFx, Flash and several social network feeds. Since web technologies are always evolving, tweaks happen often throughout this site as mini experiments to test new features.
This site is best viewed in Safari (Webkit) or Firefix (Mozilla). As Internet Explorer does not conform to web standards, some features do not appear or have been altered for the special IE stylesheet in order to offer maximum compatibility. Still, it's not as pretty in IE.
Giving credit where credit is due, here's a list of some of the web technologies used on this site. Like some of the features on this site, check out the links below for the original source code and tutorials/documentation.
